Drop a 3D file to view it.

STL, OBJ, GLB, GLTF, 3MF or PLY · stays on your device

  • Free, without a catch

Convert as many pictures as you like. No account, no watermark, no daily limit.

  • Your picture stays yours

The model is built on your phone or computer. The image is never uploaded.

  • Ready for your slicer

A closed, watertight STL that opens in Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio and other slicers.

How it works

  1. 1

    Open your file

Drop an STL, OBJ, GLB, 3MF or PLY file onto the page, or tap to choose one from your phone or computer.

  2. 2

    Inspect the model

Drag to rotate, scroll or pinch to zoom. The size and triangle count are shown next to the preview.

  3. 3

    Convert if you need to

Pick STL, OBJ, GLB or PLY and download the same model in another format.

A quick STL viewer that needs nothing installed

Sometimes you just want to see what is inside an STL file: is it the right model, is it the right size, does it have the shape the seller promised? This viewer opens the file in your browser with no software to install and no account. Nothing is uploaded, so you can safely look at client files, unfinished designs or paid models. It works on phones and tablets too, which is handy when a file arrives by email or chat.

What the viewer shows you

You get a 3D preview you can rotate and zoom, the overall size of the model and its triangle count. The size is the quickest sanity check: a model that should be 60 mm tall but shows 0.06 or 6000 is in the wrong units, and the units selector fixes that. A very high triangle count means a heavy file that may slow your slicer, so you may want to reduce it before printing.

The viewer shows the shape only. It does not run a print analysis, so it will not tell you about overhangs, wall thickness or whether the mesh is watertight. Use your slicer for those checks.

Supported file types

STL (ASCII and binary) is the standard for 3D printing. OBJ is read as geometry only; material colors from an .mtl file are ignored. GLB opens as a single file, and GLTF opens only when the data is embedded in the .gltf, so if a GLTF comes with a separate .bin file, use the GLB version instead. 3MF files open with every object merged into one model, without colors. PLY opens as a mesh; point clouds without faces cannot be shown as a solid model.

From viewer to converter

After a file is open you can export it as binary STL, OBJ, GLB or PLY with one click. This is useful for turning a GLB from an AI generator or a game asset into an STL for your slicer, or an STL into an OBJ for Blender. STL, OBJ and PLY are written in millimeters, GLB in meters as the glTF standard asks, and the up-axis is turned for you when you go between Y-up and Z-up formats.

Frequently asked questions

Is this STL viewer free?

Yes. It is free to use as often as you like, with no sign-up.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Files are opened in your browser and stay on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Drag with one finger to rotate and pinch to zoom. Very large files depend on your phone's memory, so a heavy model may load slowly.

Can it open files other than STL?

Yes. It opens OBJ, GLB, GLTF with embedded data, 3MF and PLY meshes. Colors and textures are not shown or kept.

Why does my model look tiny or enormous?

The file is probably in different units than the tool guessed. Change the "Units in the file" selector between mm, cm, m and inches until the size looks right.
